The region of Murcia lies between Alicante and Andalucia, in the purest of the Spanish Mediterranean quarters. This region in the South East of Spain offers a true taste of “real Spain“, with 235 km of coastline, unspoilt beaches, high mountain ranges, traditional tapas bars, Fiestas and all the traditional culture, together with 315 days of sunshine per year and an annual average temperature of 21 degrees.

The ancient city of Cartagena which dates back to the times of conflict between the Carthaginians and Romans is a city with a great deal history and archaeological interest, for example the recent discovery of the Roman amphitheatre. The upgrading of the harbour in Cartagena is now complete and the city is now regarded very upmarket with excellent shopping facilities in “Calle Mayor”, together with restaurants and café-bars overlooking the harbour.
For many years the southern coast of Murcia has been a well kept secret.
